Clara-Maria Barth

Clara-Maria is a Ph.D. Student in Computer Science at the Interactive Visual Data Analysis and the People and Computing Group. Her research focuses on empowering individuals with chronic conditions through personalized digital health technologies. Her work evolves around acknowledging and catering to the unique aspects of an individual's condition, lifestyle, and needs. To this end, she adopts a user-centered design approach, collaborating closely with patients and medical experts, while also incorporating machine learning to automate personalization at runtime. Through interactive data visualization, she ensures that users feel in control and remain actively involved in the process. She is also a member of the DSI Excellence Program.
